AI News Letter ("the Service") is a personal newsletter project operated by jeongsk (@jeongsk.dev). The Service uses the Threads API to find public posts about artificial intelligence and to curate them into a newsletter. This policy explains what data the Service accesses and how it is handled.

1. Data we access

• Your Threads account (operator only): basic profile information (user ID, username) of the Threads account that authorizes the app, obtained through the threads_basic permission.
• Public Threads posts: through the threads_keyword_search permission, the Service searches public posts by keyword (e.g. "AI", "LLM"). For matching posts it may store the post ID, text, permalink, publication time, and the author's public username.

The Service does not access private messages, passwords, contact lists, or any non-public content.

2. How we use the data

• To select and summarize AI-related posts for the newsletter.
• When a post is featured, the newsletter links to the original post on Threads and credits its author.

We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles of individuals.

3. Retention

Collected post data is kept for up to 90 days for curation and then deleted. Posts that have been featured in a published newsletter remain only as a link and short quote within that issue.

4. Your rights and data deletion

You may ask us to delete any data related to you or your posts at any time. See the Data Deletion Instructions. Requests are processed within 30 days.

5. Security

Access tokens and collected data are stored in access-restricted storage used only by the operator.

6. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
